Habitat
Rocky slopes. Bouteloua grassland, with shrubs and small trees (e.g. Acacia, Mimosa, Opuntia, Jatropha dioica) locally abundant. Abundant.

Description
In small clumps, woody at base; flowers pale purplish blue to purple, drying deep blue; tube pale within, the lower side faintly or not at all lined. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
