Flowers dark purple, almost blackish, sterile filament only slightly bearded along upper part, leaves smooth, thick, not glaucous, stems smooth except slightly hirsute toward base, and glandular pubescent in inflorescense - J.C.A. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
