Pedernales Province: 18.5 km N of Pedernales along road to El Aguacate and Puerto Escondito, about 6 mk W of Banao. “Laguita“, along road, at base of limestone wall near springs, ca. 18°10 N, 71°40' W. Elevation ca. 300 m.
Shrub to 2 m highwith thin spindley branches growing from base and sides of wet rockface. Leaves stiff, veins impressed beneath. Fruit green ripening purple to black. Old fruits with seeds already dehisced. In large population of more than 30 individuals.
