    Open south-facing slope above steep drop down to Grande Ronde River, pine woods with Pinus ponderosa, Festuca, Balsamorhiza, Sedum, Lomaatium, Eriogonum, Lupinus, Phlox, Delphinium, Hesperochiron pumilus, Allium tolmiei. Common.

    Perennial herb 15 cm tall, clayx pale greenish-cream, petals yellowish-cream. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
