Lowland short-tree deciduous forest; Abundant 4 km north of the river. With Cordia, Bursera, Caesalpinia, Ruprechtia, Amphipterygium.

Shrub 2 m. high; flowers pale yellow, turning purple in age. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
