More or less dry, calcereous soil, full sun. Small shrub, strongly branched, up to 60 cm high. Branches angular, brown, shiny. Leaves thick, strong, shiny, light green with sunken, paler veines. Calyx similar to the leaves; petals white; filaments and pistil white; anthers yellow. Fruit shiny yellowish white, calyx remaining, green.
