United States of America. Utah. Garfield Co. North side of Henry Mountains, in Blue Basin, east of Mt. Ellen Creek and west of Wickiup Ridge, east of road to Wickiup Pass, on west-facing slope.

Habitat

With Picea, Pinus and Betula.

Description

Small, spiny shrub with several stems emering from the ground; bark grey on older wood, tan on twigs; calyx and petals white, petals with pink center. Photographed.
