Moist to Dry forest on limestone. With Mecranium, Cyathea, Miconia spp., Thrinax, Oreopanax, Guzmannia, Blakea, and Pilea spp. Limestone, soils bauxitic.

Occasional, epipetric, large, straggling shrub to ca, 3 m tall, Petals white, style and ovary turning red in fuirt. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
