Habitat
Terra firme moist forest on very steep, rocky terrain. Understory rich in herbs, trees with heavy load of epiphytes and vines. Locally frequent.

Description
Tree 25m x 25cm, with low buttresses. Fruits (very few) essentially globose, lenticellate, borne on drooping subterminal inflorescences. Bark thin, smooth.
