Forest edge on steep slope, more or less moist soil, full sun. Shrub, 3 m high. Branches brown green. Leaves coriacious, dark green, somewhat shiny. Calyx light green, persistent and enlarged in fruit; corolla tube pale yellowish green, lobes yellowish green; filaments white; anthers brown; style whitish; stigma green, shiny.
