Habitat
Terra firme moist forest, disturbed by strip-planting by foresters.

Description
Tree 14m, no buttresses, very little clear resin produced when trunk cut. Flowers pendent, few open on each inflorescence. Petals green without, greenish-white within. Flowers 3-, 4-, of 5-merous.

Notes (shown on label)
Many buds infested with a single, bright orange larva which has eaten interior of flower. Flowers visited by very small flying insects (not identified), also by black trigonid bees which attack human visitors.
