    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate location of Vila Içana, along Rio Negro, in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the approximate area of Içana. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the village. Because the village of Içana does not have defined spatial boundaries, used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the nearest named place on the same side of Rio Negro, village of São Felipe, then halving that distance. Input coordinates, linear extent (775.81 m), and measurement error (.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
