    United States of America. California. Los Angeles Co. Liebre Mountains Region: Sierra Pelona ridgeline, about 1.5 miles west of Mt. McDill and 1.3 miles south-southeast of Lincoln Crest, the head of Bouquet Canyon.

  • Habitat

    East-west trending ridge with relatively rounded summit and steep flanks. Soil mostly rocky, sandy loam developed over Pelona schist. Summit of ridge with low, open scrub of Eriogonum fasciculatum polifolium, Corethrogyne filaginifolia, Poa secunda, Bromus diandrus, Bromus tectorum, Avena barbata, and Lasthenia californica, grading into dense scrub of Quercus chrysolepis, Quercus wislizeni, Quercus garryana breweri, and Rhamnus ilicifolia on northerly slope and Adenostoma fasciculatum chaparral on the southerly slopes. Occasional in open areas.
