Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of "estrada antiga de São Raimundo" (this road may no longer exist or the name of the road may have changed); instead, georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the São Raimundo neighborhood in the city of Manaus, Amazonas, extending the uncertainty radius to the approximate geographic center of the city of Manaus under the assumption that the road may have lead from the center of the city to this neighborhood (since the name of the road is the same as the neighborhood name and using the linear extent of the neighborhood would be an underestimation). Used the Google Maps - Earth View to find the Manaus neighborhood of São Raimundo. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of São Raimundo. Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to find the approximate linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the city of Manaus. Input coordinates, linear extent (1912.52 m), and measurement error (2.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Defined Area).
