Location
Mexico. Hidalgo. Cerro Santa Ana, 10 km. NE of APAN (NE-SE slopes).

Habitat
All slopes except top ¼ badly eroded. Eroded slopes mainly with Juniper forest, scattered madroño, bunch grass (sacaton), wild agaves, low woody shrubs and annual herbs. Oak forest remnant on N. slope (at least 5 of 6 Quecus spp.). Pines (about 6 spp.) only seen on eastern rim of crater. Hilltop with sabino, encino and sacaton.
