Level savannah occasionally burned. Pinus, Quercus, Acoelorraphe wrightii, grasses and sedges.

Shrub. Shrub of several unbranched stems from ground, 1.3 m tall; infls mostly below lvs on stem; petals white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
