In sandy clay alluvium with wash gravels derived from limestones of Moenkopi Formation; with Tamarix, Chrysothamnus paniculatus, Acacia greggii, Hymenoclea salsola. Occasional.

Perennial herb, banner whitish tinged light pink, wings dark purple with white tips, keep tips dark purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
