  • Habitat

    Large, heavily disturbed but presently undeveloped parcel surrounded by active development. Gypsiferous substrate with relictual native vegetation. Topography low with shallow drainages trending eastward. Associated with Ambrosia dumosa, Stanleya pinnata, Acamptopappus sf. shockleyi, Gutierrezia cf. microcephala, lepidium fremontii, ect. Occasionally local.

  • Description

    Herbaceous perennial. Most plants either fruiting or occuring as dried remains; only one plant encountered with flowers. Corolla medium lavender; banner ascending 40 - 45° from wings; keel tip darker. Stems reddish; leaves gray-green. Pods inflated; unilocular. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
