neighborhood. Cultivated along property boundary between 102
and 104 Jackson Street; clay loam soil. Culms erect, tightly
clumped, 2-2.5 m tall, purple; veins of culm sheath red; sheaths
enclosing inflorescence purple; anthers yellow. Plant identified
