    [Multiple specimens on sheet; different collectors. The collector's name written on the label as "Audubon" refers to naturalist and painter John James Audubon, based on the label data. From Audubon's final expedition in 1843, up the Missouri River towards the Rocky Mountains, ending at the Fort Union Trading Post. This resulted in his publication documenting North American four-footed mammals, "The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America," in collaboration with the Rev. John Bachman and Audubon's two sons. This specimen once belonged to druggist/botanist William Wallace Denslow, Sr. (1826-1868). His main collection is filed at the University of Mass. Amherst, including additional Audubon specimens.]
