  • Description

    Tree 16 m tall, the trunk 42 cm diam; bark dark grey, furrowed; branches low, ascending to canopy, then arching and finally drooping, giving crown an urn-shape. Almost all abandoned patches of ground in this town have Ulmus pumila growing on them. This is probably the most abundant urban tree species in the city.
