    Forming a dense stand for at least several hundred yards in deep, grey sand, but scarcely in adjacent pine palmetto; flowers lavender to pale lilac; numerous bumblebees and some Lepidoptera as pollinators. Crushed foliage with parsley-like odor. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
