Papua New Guinea. Milne Bay. Alotau Distr. Balagom River, ca. 8 km W of Alotau port along Rte. 1 (East Cape Highway).

Habitat
Forest by rocky riverbed and in forest on level terrain. Frequent to common in primary forest.

Description
Tree. Tree to at least 25 m x 50 cm, outer bark almost black, shed in large irregular elongate plates, thick, inner bark beige. Sterile at this time of year, said to bear yellow fruits in August and to have a white pulp around the "seed.". Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
