Habitat
slightly disturbed forest on summit of steep hill. locally frequent. Sandy clay soil.

Description
Tree. Saplings 1-3 m, on high terrace with relatively intact forest. Dense population under or near crown of parent tree. Parent tree ca. 25 m x 50 cm, with large ovoid fruits ca. 5 cm long (not accessible). Pyrenes gathered from ground.
