Stems clustered on a taproot, loosely ascend-
ing. Leaves somewhat glaucous. Flowers la-
vender. Pods strongly arcuate, broadly and
shallowly sulcate on the lower side, the lower
suture deeply intruded but not attached to the
opposite wall. Growing with No. 8973, A. am-
phioxys, but remaining sharply distinct, with-
out evident hybrids.
