Bahamas. Soldiers Road near junction of Blue Hill Road (pine region) about 3 mi. south of Nassau.

Description
Tree 20 ft.; bark reddish-brown with patches of rusty-brown to gray after manner of Platanus occidentalis. New foliage glossy reddish-brown. Flower (5-merous) just opening at date. Petals cream-color. Bark of trunk varies to almost entirely gray. Also occurs as a shrub 2 ft. high or more. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
