Assumed "Jauareté" is synonymous with "Iauareté," as suggested by Geody website (http://www.geody.com/geospot.php?world=terra&ufi=-646245&alc=yrt).Georeferenced to the geographic center of the shore of Iauareté along the Vaupés River (synonymous with Rio Uaupés) in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the approximate geographic center of the shoreline of Iauareté along the Vaupés River. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates. Because Iauareté does not have defined spatial boundaries, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the nearest named place in Brazil, Maloca Dom Bosco, which is also along the Vaupés River; halved this distance to approximate the linear extent of Iauareté. Input coordinates, linear extent (2860.31 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
