Alpine habitats, almost always in Dryas octopetala mats but occasionally in scree, on limestone substrate; with Smelowskia calycina, Antennaria aromatica, Salix nivalis, Androsace lehmanniana.

Five populations, spreading vegetatively. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
