    Tree ca 20 m tall, the trunk 1.4 cm diam; bark grey-brown, furrowed, the ridges long and rope-like, ca 2 cm wide, the tops flat or triangular, the furrows wide, paler, rough, the bark somewhat resembling Quercus prinus (chestnut oak); leaves glutinous, the maximum leaflet pairs 7; fruit very glutinous, the flesh of the pericarp soft. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
