Habitat
On black gravel banks along northwest side of road. Very abundant - many hundreds of plants.

Description
Most plants dead or nearly so, but many still flowering and some still in fair condition. Corolla uniformly magenta except on the whitish tube and lower throat exterior; the throat with narrow dark magenta lines radiating to the midveins of the lobe bases (sometimes a general darkening around the mouth obscuring these lines); the proximal portion of the throat interior and the 2 throat floor ridges yellow with scattered small reddish dots. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
