United States of America. Iowa. Black Hawk Co. This site is in the Cedar River watershed and on the Iowan Surface.

Habitat
A sandy old field (probably once a truck garden or a crop field) occurs west of a marsh in the far north portion of Waterloo. The soil here is probably Sparta loamy fine sand, 2 to 5 percent slopes (41B), an Entic Hapludoll. At least half of the sand surface is bare.
