Description
Twining shrbub. Twinging shrub, up to 1 m. Leaves alternate, glossy, thick and coriaceous. Latex very abundant, white. Inflorescence with deciduous bracteoles. Corolla funnelshaped, dark pink - purple. Fruit follicles at 180 degree angle, green when immature, brown and dry when mature. Follicle triangular in cross-section, ca. 7 cm long. Endocarp very hard, white, turning brown when cut.
