Referred to map of the reserve provided by "Reserva Biológica do Rio Trombetas - ICMBio" PDF (page 9/556) from the ICMBio website (http://www.icmbio.gov.br/portal/images/stories/imgs-unidades-coservacao/rebio_trombetas.pdf) and map "Rebio do Rio Trombetas - Pará" (https://titan.socioambiental.org/home/oswaldo@socioambiental.org/Briefcase/rebio_rio_trombetas.jpg) for location information of Reserva Biológica do Trombetas. The Reserve is located along Rio Trombetas , approximately 115 km. north west from the mouth of Rio Trombetas, in município Oriximiná. Using the reference maps and Google Maps - Satellite View, approximated the total extent of the area of the Reserve. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure the approximate total extent of the Reserve; halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic center of Reserva Biológica do Trombetas. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the geographic center. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the Reserve. Input coordinates, linear extent (50539.5 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Bounded Area).
