Habitat
Moderate slopes at base of easternmost Andean foothills. Tropical evergreen forest. Only selective logging of Swietenia macrophylla and other species about 12 years ago. With Iriartea, Talauma boliviana, Guarea pterorrhachis.

Shrub 3 m. tall. Inflorescence axis red; fruit orangish. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
