Habitat
Medium tall tropical evergreen forest, flat, the soil clay-silt. With Phenakospermun guayanense, Scheelea, Orbignya phalerata.

Description
Tree 15 m. tall, 18 cm. in diam.; bark brown, longitudinally finely flaky and furrowed; inner bark pale tan, fibrous, suitable for making tree climbing straps. Flowers fragrant; petals white; hood yellow. A few empty old woody brown fruits, probably mostl.
