    Lodge pole forest extends s.e. for miles. Ceanothus cordulatus (considerable of it dead), Pinus jeffreyi and some Abies up immediate slope n. Astragalus dominant in several large areas of loose granitic soil along rd.

    Eventually heavily brouzed- apparently by deer which are common and always present in the evening. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
