Clustered palm, main stem maximum 1.5 m tall, stems covered by persistant dark brown/black fibres. Leaves, 5-8 arranged in one to 2 planes (distichous aspect), imparipinnate. Leaflets spread in 2 to several planes, horizontally held. Abaxial face light gr.
