Ecuador. Santiago-Zamora. ("Oriente"): Eastern slope of the cordillera, valley of the ríos Negro and Chupianza (on the trail from Sevilla de Oro to Mendez). 2-3 km west of Mendez.

Description
Shrubs to 1 m., rooting at nodes. Pubescence rusty-brown. Leaves dark green above, pale below. Corolla white, petals projecting forward and forming tube; anthers cream yellow. Mature fruit purple-black. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
