Ecuador. Napo. Tena (Canton). At South West base of Galeras Cordillera, on east side of Pusuno River.

Primary montane rain forest, tierra firme on slope near river.

Description
Tree. Understory, solitary, root cone visible. Root length 20-30cm, thickness 1cm. Stem aerial, length 0.5 m, thickness 7cm. Crownshaft absent. 6 leaves per stem, sheath length 15 cm, closed. Petiole section round. Rachis length 130 cm. Lamina pinnate, width 70 cm, length 144 cm. Lamina structure flat. 30 segments per side. Pinnae insertion regular. Middle pinna length 41cm.Inflorescence interfoliar. Prophyll papery, length 23 cm, width 2cm. Peduncular bract 65cm. Peduncle length 78 cm, width 0.8 cm. Rachis length 4cm, width 0.4 cm. 4 rachillae per rachis, the longest 37 cm, shortest 35cm. Fruits green, Stigmatic insertion remains lateral. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
