Description
Pileus 7-8 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, squamulose scaly, with scales tan to barely pinkish tan, subrepent, with pink showing between squamae, with sterile velar flaps at margin. Flesh yellow, cyanescent. Tubes adnexed, sordid yellow, cyanescent, with pores developing a red tone. Stipe 9 x 1 cm, strict equal, with red band at apex, white to pale tan below, white at base, subpruinose at apex, matted pruinose below to matted fibrillose striate, with interior yellow, cyanescent, with some pinkish red subcortical zones near apex. Spores with narrow ribs lacking cross striae.
