SE-facing , 5% slope, with fine sandy loam over basalt rock. Mature of stand of Artemisia tridentata wyomingensis / Stipa comata. Associated with Arabis holboellii, A. lignifera, and lignifera, and Descurainia richardsonii. Plants common.
