Shrub, height to 1.5m but generally lower to 1m; brittle stems; leaves very thin, spike-like (<1mmX10mm), deep green; flower red, long, trumpet shaped, recurved. Sunbird pollinated. Frequent native. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
