    Herb, to 60 cm; thin stems, red brown, brittle, <3mm in diameter; leaves opposite, tiny spikelets, pale yellow at tips, sparse, spaced at 10 mm intervals; flower pale green/white, minute, 1 mm in size, terminal. Occasional native. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
