Roadcut slope, in red shaley soil, with Juniperus, Melilotus officinalis, Hymenoxys, Pinus edulis, Quercus gambelii, Streptanthus cordatus, Ephedra viridis, Penstemon comarrhenus, Amelanchier utahensis, Yucca baccata, purple-red flowered Allium, Mirabilis multiflora. Frequent herbacous perennial on top of slope, robust, much branched, taproot thick, stout.
