United States of America. Florida. Gulf Co. Along the W. side of a south-pointing peninsula in Depot Creek. St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve.

Habitat
Common moss in wet depressions, mostly in shade. Growing with Aristida sp., Cladium jamaicense, Clethra alnifolia, etc. Growing in a swamp forest in wet sandy/organic soil (Maurepas muck, frequently flooded; euic, hyperthermic Typic Haplosaprists).
