Habitat
Aulacomnium palustre is a mound. Herbaceous plants are growing out of the mound. Associated with Aster novae-angliae, Campanula aparinoides, Polygonum sagittatum, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Rumex orbiculatus, Solidago gigantea and Thalictrum dasycarpum.
