tall, partly deciduous seasonal forest with
Cactaceae, Syagrus coronata, Bombacaceae,
Tillandsia, and other terrestrial and
epiphytic bromeliads. Many species wilted due
to stress. Ca. 12°15'S, 40°23'W.
Shrub 1.3 m tall, foliage scented. Developing
ovaries green, styles reddish, male flowers
creamy white. In partial shade just outside
of forest.
