Description
Stems subterranean, to 10 cm dia.; coralloid roots present; leaves to 1 m, leaflets entire (rarely) to toothed in upper. Both seedlings and adults collected. Coriaceous in sun. Heavily toothed and papyraceous in shade. Ovulate strobilus reddish brown, 12 cm long and 4 cm dia. with red seeds. Peducle to 15 cm long.
