Schell Creek Range, Cleve Creek Baldy; below outcrops on northeast end of peak, west-northwest of Cleve Creek Canyon and washed out end of Cleve Creek Road (Forest Service Road 435), ca. 8.2 miles northeast of junction NV 893, site 12.8 air miles east-northeast of East Ely.

Habitat
On steep east-facing slopes in bristlecone pine-mountain mahogany forest. Common. Black humus-rich soil, pH ca. 6.7.

Description
Corollas scarlet, some violet-tinged, pendent, limb ± unequal, adaxial lip longer; anthers tan, abaxial pair and style/stigma exserted. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
