Beginning at the start of this road in the city of Manaus, used the Google Maps – Measure Distance Tool to measure approximately 115 km (115.0007 km) along the road toward the city of Caracaraí. Used the Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the offset along the road. Used the Google Maps – Measure Distance Tool again to find the linear extent of the starting location, determined to be the stretch of BR-174 within the administrative area of the city of Manaus, by measuring from the location where BR-174 comes nearest to the approximate geographic center of Manaus to the farthest extent of BR-174 within Manaus.
